John Briggs, the director at cwtsh gallery newport, issued a callout for a new exhibition centered around the river usk which flows through newport. Below are two pictures I have created the first one is a mixed media picture that aims to show a ghostly procession of chartist rioters against a background of wooden poles, alluding to newports colourfull history. the second is a collage showing the banks of the river usk with wooden pillars acting like sentinels watching the flow of time.
